Courtney Blackman is a London-based entrepreneur working across various
roles in the fashion industry. She was listed in the first round of the prestigious Future 500 list in The Observer as a rising business star to watch out for and has been featured in numerous publications including the Mayfair Times, the Business of Fashion, LuxuryFinance, Drapers, and VOGUE.COM UK, and was hailed a style icon in 2010 by ACCESS-FASHION. She was listed on the 2010 Online Fashion 100 and frequently speaks at industry events and she is a regular fashion commentator for NBC’s Today Show (New York).

Courtney founded London’s Forward PR in 2004 and continues to serve as
the managing director. A fashion-focused press relations agency, Forward PR
works with emerging to established businesses working in various sectors of
fashion from around the globe, as well as with large companies and events
including the WGSN Global Fashion Awards and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. Located in the heart of London, Forward PR has successfully secured media coverage in thousands of outlets globally since its inception.

In 2006, she co-founded and served as the managing director of London’s Fashion Business Club (FBC) for five years, a group of fashion insiders that includes top designers, stylists, editors, photographers, manufacturers, illustrators, retailer and more who are helping to shape the business side of the industry. Courtney acquired FBC from her partner and has rebranded it as THE INDUSTRY. The re-launch took place on the 27th of July at Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ in a Fashion Meets Music event where Kate Nash was interviewed London fashion stylist, Rebekah Roy.

In September of 2009, Courtney was appointed as a board member of the Ethical Fashion Forum, a not for profit network focusing upon social and environmental sustainability in the fashion industry.

A British American, Courtney lives full-time in London with her partner and has properties around the globe, including an opera house in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada that she and her partner operate seasonally producing art and music festivals.
